Healthy Weight Program

According to a 2010 study, 55 percent of dogs and 54 percent of cats in the United States are overweight or obese. That's an estimated 43 million dogs and 50 million cats.*

If your pet is at risk, team up with us today!
Many of our patients are already on the fitness track. We will get your pet started with a Body Condition Score as well as a feeding recommendation to help achieve a weight loss target determined by your veterinarian.

What's a  Body Condition Score? Because dogs and cats can vary so much in size, even within a breed, the Body Condition Score focuses more on shape than weight. Your veterinarian will give your dog or cat a score from one to nine, with one being too thin and nine obese – four to five is ideal for dogs and five is ideal for cats.

For Example: Our cat plays with a feather wand for about 15 minutes every other day. Doesn't do much else.
For Example: Science Diet Adult Dog, 1 cup twice a day. Also eats green beans and carrots as treats.
