Radiology is invaluable for diagnosing various conditions including fractures, enlarged organs, respiratory and cardiac diseases and foreign bodies in the gastrointestinal tract. When used in conjunction with other diagnostic
procedures such as ultrasound, problems can be diagnosed more quickly leading to faster treatment and resolution.

Ultrasound is a pain-free, completely non-invasive technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce a real-time image of your pet's internal organs. It is particularly useful in viewing your pet's abdominal organs including the spleen, kidneys, liver and gallbladder. It can be used to evaluate heart functions, scan the bladder and other areas such as the thyroid glands, testicles and mammary glands. Ultrasounds are usually not stressful for your pet and take anywhere from 30-60 minutes to perform.  

Laboratory Testing

Our laboratory is capable of processing many different tests, including complete blood counts (CBC); blood chemistry panels; parasite testing to detect the presence of heartworms, roundworms and other internal parasites; bacterial and fungal cultures, and urinalysis. We also perform pre-anesthetic labwork before all anesthetic procedures. The information we obtain from these pre-anesthetic screening tests can greatly reduce the risks associated with anesthesia and surgery.
